Injection molding

At Thursoct we manufacture our PVC products using Injection molding and Extrusion processes. Injection molding is a manufacturing process for producing parts by injecting material into a mold. Injection molding can be performed with a host of materials, including metals, glasses, elastomers, confections, and most commonly thermoplastic and thermosetting polymers. Material for the part is fed into a heated barrel, mixed, and forced into a mold cavity, where it cools and hardens to the configuration of the cavity. After a product is designed, usually by an industrial designer or an engineer, molds are made by a mould maker (or toolmaker) from metal, usually either steel or aluminum, and precision-machined to form the features of the desired part.

At Thursoct we offer our clients an Injection Molding service for the manufacture of their specific product, from tooling design and manufacture to the delivery of your completed product. Designing plastic parts is a complex task involving many factors that address a list of requirements of the application. “How is the part to be used?” “How does it fit to other parts in the assembly?” “What loads will it experience in use?” In addition to functional and structural issues, processing issues play a large role in the design of an injection molded plastic part. At Thursoct we make it a priority to discuss your product design and application in detail to achieve the most effective results from conceptualization to application.
