PVC CONSTRUCTION

PVC products do not degrade to damage the environment and suffer fewer breaks and leaks than other alternatives, making PVC ideal for use in building and construction projects. At Thursoct we manufacture ferrule tubing, various corner fillets, spacers and stud caps used daily in the construction industry as well as shutter buttons, push on and screw on cones used to protect and close ferrule tubing.

PVC PIPES

At Thursoct we manufacture 40 – 110mm white sewer and vent pipes in 6m lengths, the beige sewer pipe in 110 – 200mm as well as 50 – 200mm black cable duct in 6meters. We also cater for underground SABS sewer and drain pipes (plain ended or socket) as well as SABS soil and vent pipes (40.50.110mm) in 6meter lengths. For the bigger projects we supply 110mm – 200mm socketed borehole casings and can do pressure pipes and flood pipes on request.

PVC CONDUIT

An electrical conduit is a tubing system used for protection and routing of electrical wiring. Electrical conduit provides very good protection to enclosed conductors from impact, moisture, and chemical vapors. Varying numbers, sizes, and types of conductors can be pulled into a conduit.

PVC FOAM BOARD

PVC foam sheets provide a low maintenance solution for walls, floors and ceilings where hygiene is a priority. Oct-Foam Board is replacing plywood in the construction industry for all concrete form work. Due to its water resistant qualities it can be used more than once and gives the concrete a smooth finish with no need for further finishing.

Established in 1981, Thursoct (Pty) Ltd has been involved in the manufacturing of PVC products for the past 40 years. The company started off as the sole manufacturing of plastic knitting needles in the Southern Hemisphere and quickly grew from strength to strength, now being a leading manufacturer of PVC Pipes and other PCV Building products.

This family-owned company has been managed by Managing Director Frank de Greef since 1986 and has grown to be a contender in the manufacturing and supplying of PVC pipes, plumbing and water distribution items as well as construction profiles throughout South Africa with a range of PVC electrical conduit and fittings that got added to the product range. Thursoct is also one of the first companies in South Africa to manufacture PVC foam boards locally and will soon be adding PVC roof sheeting, cementing itself in the industry for years to come.
